What does dust resistant mean?

It means the dust can't get into the inside of the phone. No different than water resistant really. I mean really...if water can't get in there dust obviously won't either. Just fancy wording.

It means dust will not get inside the phone. It will still get caught on the speaker grille though. The home button is solid state so it won't get inside there.

I don't believe there is a ring, it's just an indent in the glass.
