Yesterday, I tried to send someone a message via iMessage and I was greeted with "Message send failure." I wonder if that's what happen when someone blocked you. Can someone with two iPhones please test this out and confirm if I'm being blocked? Thanks in advance and good karma goes to you.

You can. One of my friends decided it would be fun to write an AppleScript to send me 1k iMessages, so I swiftly blocked him for a few days....
Edit: I may be wrong as I can't find the setting, but it definitely worked last week!

I've not been able to get blocking to work with it.
I tried using the blocking that's available in iOS 7, but so far, it hasn't worked.
I had some random person I don't know sending messages the other day .it seems they were picking random user names from sites like this and then using iMessage to send to username@icloud.com
