I've gone through quite a few Macs in my time, but never have I needed one urgently - like I do with these new rumoured MBP's... (I have a gig on the Friday and don't want to lug my iMac across town...)

So if they are available on Tuesday... does anyone have any experience buying them on day of release? Especially in the UK...

Who thinks there's going to be queues outside Regent Street? It'd be the worst thing if I had to get a glossy screen or something else I don't want...

Talking of which, do Apple Stores typically carry matte-screen MBP's in stock?

I assume the queues will be notably shorter than the iPhone launch queues. So if you're up for standing in line because you have to get one ... good luck!

The default is the matte screen on the Macbook Pro. The glossy is BTO.

Although that will probably switch round knowing Apple who like everything to be pretty.
