Ok this is a noob question but I can't seem to find an answer if there is actually one. I even googled it and asked a few people but no answer. What does the "i" stands for in iworks, icalender, ichat ect? I think the "i" represents myself/me or it means nothing at all.

the "i" originated with the first iMacs, and it stood for 'internet' at the time because of how easy it was to get, set up, and get online with. since then the 'i' has become Apple's thing.

Internet as in the iMac
Interim as in Steve Jobs being the iCEO when he came back in 97
The rest of the products followed.
iPod was originally intended as a name for a booth (at airports and whathaveyou) where people would go online.

Dead on, I remember that keynote :D

it started because the iMac got released at the beginning (arguably) of the "i"nternet revolution. basically now all it means is that its a consumer product, rather than a pro product.. i guess lowercase "i"s are too unsophisticated for pros.

*realizes the irony in what i just said in reference to iWork*
