I'm throwing this question out there. I really don't expect anybody to answer it though. But just by the slight chance that somebody might know, I'm asking. I expect this thread to remain unanswered and on Page 5 by tomorrow afternoon.
In the file system, each file has information abou who has read/write/exec permissions for that specific file. These are sometimes altered, and if it happens to system files, this can make your system unstable and sluggish. That means the permissions need to be repaired, i.e reset to what they should be.
