You download themes from cydia, you have to respring or reboot after selecting the themes in the winterboard settings

There are different themes, generally the theme will download the program it needs to run, as well. Once you've downloaded a theme you must launch Winterboard, go into it tap select theme, and tap on the theme to enable it, it should have a check mark by it if enabled....

cydia does not seem to separate ipad and iphone themes and apps making it Really difficuilt to get what you need.. am i missing something ?

Cydia has a search function, I'd suggest "iPad" you'll find a number of themes. At the moment there are none to very few themes for the iPad 3. But then it has just been jailbroken, they will come in time. But you will always find more for the iPhone. And some themes that include iPad, are designed to give an iPhone or an iPod touch the appearence of an iPad. It does take time and a willingness to read to find useful things in my opinion.

i did search, and as you say an iphone app that advertises ipad.. hmm usefull...not..
my one major gripe about apple is the unweildly way you have to install software, sadly cydia has not done much to fix that, i was hoping for the JB to mean far more easier ways to transfer, okok, its. A BIT better, but you all know what i mean, i just want to open my computer, or whatever the mac equivelant is, and drag and drop..one day maybe..

itunes is GARBAGE i want to tottaly iliminate it from my life !

i utterly DETEST mac software, but the hardware is nice, windows completly wipes the floor with apple when it comes to usability...

my dream tablet would be an ipad running win 7 perfectly.

Hmm then get a RDP app and use that to run Windows7 on your PC, I did that with my iPad.

You did activate the themes in winterboard itself i assume?

Because I fly 1

exactly what would i tick ?
i ticked starbust theme, as its the only theme there, resprung, but nothing happens, still the same

Hmm I downloaded Starburst Theme, (which is for the iPhone and iPod Touch) and activated it in winterboard, after a respring my wallpaper changes with about 75% being black and in landscape mode an image of stars in the upper right hand corner where the headphone jack is (with the home button on the left side)...

I also downloaded Starburst Theme - iPad which did nothing on my iPad 3, other than removing my wallpaper.

im using my own wallpaper from a pic, maybe thats why ? but i cant change the wallpaper via theme..yet another jb bug

Try enabling summerboard mode with your theme. I did that when I downloaded iphone themes and icons and they work but it's not ipad 3 retina.
