I'm using this calculator to determine what resolution MBP I should get:

Basically, the higher the dot pitch, the bigger stuff will appear. I don't want a resolution so high that everything will look tiny.
On my current Windows laptop, it is a 15" with 1400x1050 resolution, so that's a 0.2177 dot pitch.
I did the calculation for the 1680x1050 15.4" MBP, and it has a 0.1974 dot pitch, so stuff should appear smaller than on my current laptop. But I went into an Apple store recently, and I'm not sure the hi-res MBP displayed stuff any smaller than on my current laptop. That makes me wonder if the DPI on Macs is higher than the DPI on Windows? Windows uses 96 DPI... can anyone tell me what DPI Macs use?
