I want to know what does the White Macbooks from 2006-2008 use? I am looking for some that I found for $36 from one of my suppliers...He said it is either the UJ-868A / UJ-868 ? I am not exactly sure which one...and are all the White macbooks super drive / non super drives ( the only read dvds and do not burn them ) use the PATA interface or do some use the SATA interface as well?

The UJ-868 is a SATA drive and was fitted in the Unibody MacBooks and MacBook Pro's. It won't fit in the 2006-2008 white MacBooks since they use PATA drives......

From 2009 onwards the white MacBooks (nVidea models) have SATA drives (HL-S22N or equivalent)....

The earlier white/black MacBooks with Intel 950/3100 graphics were fitted with the UJ-857 range SuperDrives mostly.
