What else can we do with the NFC?

I always figured that Apple using NFC for Apple pay was nice but can we download other apps for it, like how we use Touch ID for other purposes.

Didn't they say they would do indoors mapping? Wouldn't it be cool to have NFC as a tracker to find things inside a supermarket?

You could just type in what you're looing for and see the stock they have in as well as where it is.

I don't think what you're talking about has anything to do with NFC. That would just be the store updating their website or app with thr actual location of their items.

NFC doesn't work like that.

What you're talking about would be more a function of iBeacons/Bluetooth LE. NFC only works within a range of a few inches (the N stands for Near) and even then, Apple hasn't opened it up to anything else yet and likely won't for at least another year.
