What ever happened to the black MacBook?

Does anyone know what happened to the black MacBook? I really like it. Does Apple still sell them or not?

Look at refurb store, it's possible that there's still some left.

The black macbook was mainly sold on the pretense that it was black. They dropped it when they introduced the Aluminum macbook. Just a sign of the times I suppose, like when they stopped selling the white ipod classic.

Now I have two limited editions - a black Macbook and an aluminum Macbook.

Its hardly "limited edition", it's simply old tech.

I have seen it a handful of times in the refurb store(U.S.), but I wouldn't pay over $999 on ebay for a stock configuration because that's what it costs in the refurb store. I'm sure it will turn up again.

Oh, I think you won't see many around within a few years. But there are a whole lot more white Macbooks.

Sold my 2.4 GHz yesterday for $1,000. It's $999 on apple.com in the refurb, they have them quite often now... About the same on eBay with extended app. care. Mine had no warranty, very pleased. Still the black one looks sick... just want the 13 inch MBP..
