Early rumors were that it would be included on the Apple Watch. Then I think I read thatApple could not get FDA approval so on enough.. Does anyone know?

What ever happened with the blood pressure monitor?

They were rumours. It may never have existed, or any one of a dozen things could have prevented it's inclusion. We may never know.
I read an article that suggested that Apple dropped some of the planned sensors because some of them would have made the Apple Watch into a medical device which would have needed to go through approvals with the TGA and similar regulatory bodies around the world.
Yeah I'm hoping they nail down a sensor that can figure blood pressure from looking at blood vessels and get away from the blow up cuff.
They hired a guy who was working on it, and it was found that the most accurate location for blood pressure was behind the ear, even more so then the arm and arm cuff.
I wouldn't mind a bluetooth headphone that measures blood pressure.
