What exacaly does Motorola change in the g4 chip when they release new ones? I am talking about the same chip design (7455 to 7455). Are they basically just overclocking it or adding new features/transistors?

When a chip is first developed, it's production makes a high failure rate, and many of the processors are only effective to a certain speed. But as the production process is refined, batches get better and better quality, allowing them to rate them up to a higher Mhz, with less dead chips.

This isn't all, but pretty easy to understand.
