When I look at my folders on the Home Screen, all the apps that I’ve previously downloaded, but aren’t actually on the device show up as blanks until I drill into that folder. What is the point of this? Does it save a minute amount of rendering power? Sometimes I look for app icons from afar. I’m fairly organized, and adept at searching on the Home Screen, but the App Library isn’t my cu- of tea. I’m old school—like “iPhoneOS”—old school. This is seemingly yet another federhegi-ism. I suppose it might save a bit of RAM and maybe is faster, but it just seems sloppy.

One of the many bugs they introduced a while ago with no fix in sight. Report it and pray they are kind enough to acknowledge and fix it eventually.
