Hello,

I used to use Fan Control 1.1 to control the fans in my Macbook Pro and Macbook. Leopard doesn't like this software - so therefore, doesn't work.

I am using SMC Fan Control - but it seems that it doesn't actually turn the speed of the fans up when the temperature gets high? I could be wrong but since using it it doesn't seem to do this.

Anyone got any recomendations on how to control the fans on my computers?

Good Question!

I have the exact same problem, my macbook pro is running so hot in leopard. I used to use Fan Control but now it doesn't work in leopard... And SMCfancontrol sucks because it has an icon on the toolbar and it doesn't change speed according to temperature...

Can anyone help?!

Okay, reinstalling fixed it - smcFanControl works again. Apparently the Tiger install wiped some library they'd installed in system space.

Fan Control 1.2 is out that supports leopard. Installed it the other night and it works fine!
