What finger do you use to navigate with the Magic Trackpad?

I'm new to Mac and new to trackpads, so I find myself switching back and forth between my index finger and my middler finger. Sometimes I "two-finger scroll" with my index and middle, other times with middle and ring. I just can't figure out what I like better!

Is there a general consensus on this or is it just personal preference?

It varies for me as well. Pretty much the same as you.

But, I find I generally use the index and middle when on the Magic Track Pad, and swap between the fingers you mentioned when on the MacBook Air 11"...

Just like the "pinch" to bring up Launchpad, on the MTP I use the thumb and first three fingers, more often than not on the MBA I use my four fingers to do the pinch...
