What fireware are brand-new iPhones?

Hey, I was wondering...lets say I go and buy a brand-new no-contract iPhone tomorrow.....what firmware will it have? 4.1? or 4.0.1? or something else I'm not aware of yet?

I need to know, because I want an iPhone, but I'll be jailbreaking it once I get it. Thanks!

One method involves the program TinyUmbrella. You can find links/instructuons for it elsewhere on the forum - fairly simple.

The other way is when you jailbreak your phone and run cydia for the first time, it will ofer you a "Make my life Easier" button - hitting that will save your ShSh blobs to suarik's server.
