What firmware do the new MBPs come with?

That's right. My 2 day old MPB 2.8 came with 10.6

Wouldn't the exact firmware depend on the manufacturing week, or am I really off on this one...

If you're asking about firmware and not OS version, the 13" and 15" MBPs should be currently shipping with EFI version 1.7. I'm not sure about the 17" MBP.

ok, thanks. my brother is looking into getting a new one and wanted to but a scorpio blue hard drive and i wanted to know what im going to be in store for when he brings it over for me to install it.
