What formats can premiere pro capture in

Can premiere pro only capture in DV and HDV? How about editing?

I am picking up a Matrox MX02 Mini today and was curious as I really do not want to capture and edit in DV as the quality is lacking.

Assuming that you mean Adobe Premier Pro, why not have a look here:

Update: The Matrox can capture in Mpeg2 i-frame, uncompressed 8 and 10 bit, as well as h264.
