What games do you think will come on iphone?

Apologies if this has been discussed or if I am missing something obvious.

I saw the demo of monkey ball on the iphone and it looks great an ties in nicely with the iphone setup. Where I am struggling is how they are going to get other games to work on the phone without any buttons/controls or will they just cut the display size down to have controls on the screen at the sides or bottom?

Am i missing something?
 
Well if Team Sonic is on board I'd imagine a Sonic game or two.

RTS or RPG would adapt well as would racing games.
 
These are my guesses =/.

Super Monkey Ball - Accelerometer
Spore - Accelerometer to move
PopCap (Peggle, Bejeweled, Zuma) - Touch
Racing - Accelerometer to turn and probably accelerate (like SMB)
Crawl (I think) - Accelerometer to jump, side of screen to move, I think he uses two finger tap to attack
Bioshock - Accelerometer and tap to attack (my guess based on Quake 3)

A lot of movement will be done with either the accelerometer or tapping and holding anywhere on the sides of the screen.

FPS can use the accelerometer to move, shake to jump, tap to primary attack, and two finger tap to secondary. Switch weapons can probably be done with either three fingers or even a finger swipe (the iPhone's finger swipe is not the same thing as click and move...it can be registered as a simple move)

RTS is probably the most difficult as most people playing RTS fill up their entire interface (RPGs do that too) with their spells, abilities, etc. Unfortunately, you lose this cause of the small screen.
 
I was personally hoping for Call of Duty 4, but something tells me that's not happening. :rolleyes:

There should be some good ones nonetheless!

hmmm okay. Seems that my thoughts on possibilities being limited was incorrect. Having said that Monkey ball on its own would probably keep me happy for a while (I still play brickbreaker on my bberry)

thanks for the input I am pretty excited about the new phone especially if the GPS/SatNav/TomTom thing happens. I can even persuade the missus on the satnav thing (and possibly even the 16GB version) so should be good to go for a few games ........
 
Splinter Cell

I think Splinter Cell will come to the iPhone because the company of Splinter Cell is getting into the iPhone Developing business
 
Nintendo

I really hope that Nintendo gets into the business too, and i also hope that the maker of Guitar Hero does something with the iPhone
