What Gamma Setting Do You Use?

Just interested to see what level of gamma other users like.

I prefer things on the richer side at 2.4. Over time I have found it's the highest I can go and still get consistently good whites.

Mine varies from device to device but I tend to nudge the slider away from the Mac default, around the 2.0 mark.

And of course, always fun to look at the profile with ColourSync

Thanks for sharing! I find that I need higher gamma on IPS screens compared to TN. IPS seem inherently darker and TN inherently bright. No matter the brand.

2.2 and profiled(on PPC) with a Spyder 2 Pro .

2.2 on all my Intels also, but profiled with a ColorMunki Smile.

The older default of 1.8 bugs me, and my first reaction on seeing it is always "why does this display look so bad." Fortunately, somewhere along the way Apple started defaulting to 2.2.
