What goes into an Genius Bar Triage Drive?

I do Mac IT work and I was curious what they are using to make those bootable drives that what looks like can boot 10.4 or 10.5 diks plus run utilities on them. Any ideas how I can make one? It would make my life easier instead of hauling dvds around and of course so i could troubleshoot my own Mac's problems. Any guides? or other things of that nature?
