What had happened to my Firefox

afterdownloading the nightly build my toolbar has gone crazy. i have tried to revert and that doesnt help. reinstalled it and still doesnt work, uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. if get rid of preferences and everything i will lose all of my many bookmarks. has anyone seen anything like this? im including a screenshot. thanks!

It might be a theme issue. Can you start Firefox in Safe Mode?

well i ended up having not only unistall firefox but every single remnant of it through spotlight. then i reinstalled it from scratch, all new toolbars, bookmarks, the whole thing. what happened to it is one of the great mysteries of our time if not all time. (that was maybe a bit much)
