All of a sudden my 4S won't play thru Bluetooth.

What changed?

I can tell you it was nothing I did. I haven't even synced my phone in any form since release.

Then about a day ago it hard locked (again) but I quickly held the home/power buttons to force a reset and it reset.

It pairs with Ford Sync just fine like it always has. But it won't play thru the speakers and the head unit no longer controls it. I've already try re-pairing it. Links up fine but still no source option fields.

There is no audio source in option in the phone or music apps. A call shows as 'In Privacy' on the car display, as it does when talking direct on the phone while paired.

In USB it plays just fine and can be controlled with the head unit but of course the screen is completely locked out, only showing 'Accessory Connected'.

So what happened? That unwanted, unauthorized OTA update crap?

I should have posted sooner.

Not even two minutes later, out of the car, this time starting the camera app from the home screen, it hard locked AGAIN!

Another hard reset.

Back in the car it suddenly works again.
