What happened to acquisitions torrent client for mac, had it some years ago.
And torrents does not mean illegal.

he then released xtorrent and also (acquisition wasnt free right?) charged for that app and if i recall there was a little internet storm over him charging for xtorrent since much of it supposedly came from open source projects.

things however really got interesting with the brilliant safari search extension called inquisitor which was later found to use his affiliate link to amazon products. gruber and co gave him hell for it and i dont think the dev has released much since then. yahoo bought inquisitor and perhaps he still works there.

Good info. I recall the XTorrent controversy, but did not realize it was the same dev.
