I know that Apple used to maintain a few sample test accounts for people to check their ability to video chat... They were:

appleutest01, appleutest02, appleutest03
appleu3test01, appleu3test02, appleu3test03

(Or you could enter them as appleu3test01@mac.com, etc.)

The idea was that you would add them to your buddy list, and if when you initiated a video chat with them, when it connected successfully it would play an Apple ad, or mirror yourself with a funny hat on. Something simple so that you could check your end of an iChat connection, since the Apple side was perfect.

Lately, these seem to have disappeared, and if you add them to your buddy list, you just get the "waiting for authorization." Does anyone know if there are new ones that work?
