What is up with the folder icons looking like trash on High Sierra?

This is from Sierra

This is from High Sierra. Notice the bad pixels around the edges that are supposed to blend into the background, but instead they stick out as light colored?

How did they screw that up? They shouldn't have even changed.

EDIT: Same thing happens when using 32x32 icons.

Nobody else has this issue? Wow. I've tried it with a fresh install and an upgrade install on 2 Mac Pros. Is it because nobody uses standard sized icons like 16x16 or 32x32 anymore?

Perhaps it's that, plus that it doesn't seem to occur in high-DPI mode (which uses higher resolution icons at the same "sizes"), and many modern Macs are Retina.

Anyone know if this bug has been fixed in 10.13.1 or 10.13.2?

Can anyone tell me how I can fix this? It's like the transparency isn't working correctly on the 16x16 and 32x32 folder icons. Does nobody else have a non high-DPI display?
