An octopus's garden
Over the last year or so I've found that Google search results are becoming increasingly cluttered with duplicates, search aggregators, and other completely irrelevant and unhelpful data. It's gotten to the point now that I find Google to be almost unusable. It's like AltaVista or Excite! :D They've started adding additional 'functionality' that does nothing but frustrate me! I really wonder what happened. When Google first came on the scene, it was like a revelation... So I'm wondering, have many MR members have had the same problem with Google search? What would you say the best alternatives are?

I like DuckDuckGo, but I haven't worked out how to get better results from it yet. Yahoo has never been good IMHO. I'm trying out Bing right now and find that it's okay - nothing special, but it works. ...
