What happened to my battery life

Over the weekend, I upgraded from 4.0 to 4.1, and then jailbroke it with Limera1n. It had been jailbroke before with jailbrakeme.com.

Since the upgrade and rejailbrake, my battery life has gone to crap. I have turned off almost all notifications, and put email to manual retrieval. But no help, I have noticed that the phone back also feels warm.

Any suggestions? Should i reset all and reinstall everything, loosing my data? Or reload 4.1, jailbreak and reload from backup? Help

I have not loaded any additional since the apps since upgrading.

I see many saying battery life is better upgrading and jail breaking. I have the same battery life I had when on 4.0.1 and jailbreak me.com which I addressed by downgrading MobileSubstrate.
