What happened to new txt app?

Loving handoff in IOS8 so far, think this update lays the ground work for some really cool stuff down the pike when developers start adding programs that use the features.

But wasn't there a rumor a some mac programs getting ported to os8. Thinking one was a text editor like app. Not sure if that didn't work out or just waiting for the mac software to come out.

Why do you need Text Edit when Pages is free (and even comes pre-installed on 64+GB phones)? Just wondering.

Just curious what happened to the Mac cross over apps that were rumored here on the summer.

Can't say the notes app isn't all I need, but remembered some other stuff as part of IOS8 upgrade that didnt seem to make it past the rumor stage.

Looks like they were just that - rumors. Apple certainly never promised them and there was never any evidence that they were in the betas. So to answer your question, they never existed in the first place.
