What happened to the Ismoothrun app? The app developer used to answer all questions about the app. Since February 2023, he has not responded to emails. The app stopped working stably with the release of IOS 18. There have been no app updates for 10 months. Does anyone know what happened to it? A pop-up screen freezes further actions with the workout. There is no way to finish the workout

There was a longer period of inactivity (and no response to mails or Facebook) some years ago. Then the app came back to my surprise.
But seeing what the competitors (and also Apples app) deliver, I think there is no compelling reason to stay with iSmoothrun. An app I really liked in the past.

I disagree. So far, iSmoothrun has not found a worthy replacement. Screen settings are required, Pacemaker, Interval Schedules. There are Workoutdoors, but I don't like strange jumps at the current pace.

When using either pedometer as source for pace or a Stryd footpod with Workoutdoors I see no jumps in pace.
With my AWU2 I don’t even need a Stryd for interval trainings any longer, precision is good enough for me and usability of the builtin app also.

jumps and incorrect values of the current pace are observed only in the program W.O.D. There were no such problems in other programs (ISmoothRun, Apple Workout...).
This is expressed in the fact that if you set an alert at a high pace, then this alert goes over the critical value many times (with a constant pace, it feels like)

You can set the base for pace alerts to a rolling pace (e.g. 3 seconds). I find this better than current pace which is not even smooth with a Stryd.
Also my pace alerts always cover a range of +/- 5 seconds/km around the target pace. For more precise stuff I go to a track where Apples app is spot on in track mode.

Coming back to iSmoothrun: if this guy is still selling subscriptions is it allowed to disappear entirely? Would give him another try and maybe report to Apple.

Thank You! I will try
ISmoothRun: I support you. Maybe this will wake up the sleeping guy.
