Who is they? Also, I don't understand why Apple would make a 12" rMBP. It doesn't really fit when you consider how they usually spec out the different models.

It was a rumor - just that. No evidense of apple actually producing one and it looks like this rumor is not coming to fruition quite yet.

I suspect Apple may produce a 12" laptop, but it will be a MBA not a MBP - just my guess that's all. Perhaps when Broadwell is released.
