What happened to the webcam dashboard widgets

Remember when Apple first showed off Dashboard in WWDC last year? They had some cool webcam widgets that showed various webcams from aquiariums and different major cities. Now they are gone I know they aren't that useful but I thought they were cool! Wonder why Apple scraped them.

I'm sure some enterprising third party developer will whip one up, you could always give it a go yourself!
