Am I missing something here? Where do I find the update all button in the app store on my phone?

I can't seem to find it with all this new iCloud BS everywhere

So what's going on here then??

That's not the update page. You went into the "All apps I've ever bought and can re-download for free" section.

Touch the 'update' icon at the bottom to return to the update panel.

I do agree that the 'update' icon should stop glowing blue when you enter that section, but for some reason it doesn't.

I agree. There's another thread floating around right now about the App Store and it's need for a redesign. This is another of those little things. You should mention it in there too.

I guess Apple isn't perfect, but I'll take their minor imperfection over most. :p

Hmm so I tap the update button in the bottom right?

I just did that and it looked like it tried to load something but then just went back to the same page.

I'll try to restart my iPhone.

I just now took this.

See the "Purchased" line.
If you go into there, thats what your screenshots are showing. You're basically in one level to far.
Go back on and you should see it.
You're just looking at what you've purchased, not what apps have updates.

Yeah uhmm still am not getting anything. What the eff is going on here?

Either your network and/or the app store is lagging a bit, happens from time to time, either just wait a while or exit, kill the app store app and then try again.

The purchased list does take quite a while to load. Although I'm speaking from iOS 5, I'm not sure if it's any better on 4.3.3 and lower. I would assume it's not being that it's pulling from a server and not using the OS necessarily.

slow on 4.3.3 does even show on 4.2.1

and agreed with others the purchased could use its own tab if the do a redesign

Yeah I am running 4.3.3 and can't get to that page no matter what. Tried killing the app. Tried restarting my phone. Tried a hard reset as well.

3G or Wi-Fi........

this is very strange......... and annoying.:apple:

Yeah this is so bizarre. My dads iPhone has the little tab that let's you go back to the update all. Mine was there a week or two ago because I remember seeing it... But its not there now and I don't really feel like doing a full restore and copying all my music back over

Do you have any apps that need updating? If you don't then the button won't be there at all. I just tried it and after I updated all my apps it disappeared.

Woah, no need to restore. I just did a hard reset (hold power+home) and it was back... (my free/paid/grossing categories were missing too).

Yes. Because if I really want to I can scroll down through that (obnoxiously long) list and manually update the ones that need it.

Yeah... I've tried this several times with no avail. I can try again I guess.

the iPad app store got a separate button at the bottom for purchases.

It blows my mind how different the app store is on the iPad than it is on the iPhone. It further mind blows me how much absolute crap both versions are.

I really hope iOS 5 brings a fix to all the crappy app store quirks. It's a huge money maker, you would think they would want it to be the best it could be.

Omfg it worked! Praise the lord!!

How did you fix it, I've been fighting with this for 2 weeks now and cannot get back to the updates screen.
Stuck in the same place as you, powered off / on countless times.
Still seeing the same Alll / Not on this phone screen.
I just want an On this phone screen.
Is that too much to ask?????
Maybe they'll fix this stupid AppStore bug (feature) in iOS 5???
