I ended up with songs on my phone that my son purchased on his phone? We share an apple ID but it never happened before. If I delete will they delete from his phone.

what happened is that you probably have *automatic downloads* for music set to ON on your device.

turn it OFF and music you download on other devices with the same apple ID will not download on your phone.


and no, if you delete that song it will remain on your son's device.

Or automatic downloads are enabled in iTunes and you are syncing your whole library or some other category that catches the new songs.
