I'm having issues that are intermittent with wifi reception. Restoring doesn't really seem to help, as the problem is intermittent.

I'd hate for the phone to get there and they say they can't replicate the problem.

I'll have the new phone before they get mine so I just don't want to get the shaft afterwards

No, they will just keep it and use it for a refurb.

Check that it actually is your iPhone that is at fault with your wifi reception. Are you certain it is not signal problems? Does reception vary from one location to another?

People are always ready to blame their 'phones in circumstances such as these. In 99 times out of 100, the solution is found to be not the iPhone.

It used to work fine all over my house. My wifes iPhone works fine all over the house still. Mine will stop seeing any wifi network all of a sudden and not be able to see another until I restore. Sometimes it'll work for 2 weeks, but sometimes 2 days. It ain't normal that's for sure.

Yes, it sounds like something's wrong there. As has been said before, if your 'phone is covered by AppleCare, you should have no problems in getting a free replacement.
