My phone is activated with O2. So if I update to genuine firmware my phone will be official and not lose any contacts music etc?

Click to expand... although I don't think it'll cause any problems, It is always safest to RESTORE first, then update. As said by Tokiopop. Relatively simple process though. Jailbreaking is now very, very safe and easy to undo (thank you, Dev team!)
