When the built in rechargeable battery in the ipod touch requires a replacement, can a "user"[punter] change the rechargeable battery or the ipod touch has to go to an apple retailer to get the battery replaced?
Does anyone know the answer?

What if it is engraved? It says on that link that the unit may be new used or refurbished but then it also states in another paragraph that if your iPod is personalized it will take approximately twice the length of time to get an iPod back to you. Does this mean that if your iPod is personalized that you WILL get that same iPod back?

I'm pretty sure that it means they may re-engrave a new or refurbished iPod after installing the new battery.
