right where I am
Hello everyone, Happy December!

I was wondering how an update to the MBP line will affect the current models in terms of pricing and configuration options. In other words, how much will the current models see a price drop? and Will it still be possible to order custom configurations (e.g. 200 gb) in the old models? Or does Apple only offer stock configurations on the old models after an update?

Thanks!

Apple tend to minimize the amount of stock available in the runup to a new model by simply not making more (at one point messing this up so there were no iMacs to buy anywhere at all). The few remaining ones are normally sold as refurbs (despite being brand-new). As refurbs you can buy what there is, no build-to-order possible.

Cheers, mate!

Oh the decisions...
