What happens when a new store opens?

Apple is opening a new store in San Antonio this summer. I wasn't paying too much attention to Apple when they opened the previous store here 3 years ago. How do they normally advertise the opening and how long before it opens do they announce the opening date?

I'd really like to attend the opening and don't want to miss it! There was an article in the paper a few days ago saying that they have begun hiring, but hadn't announced an opening date yet. They do have the black walls up with the apple logo and a sign saying that says "Caution, laser in use".

What does this have to do with iPhone?

They usually announce store openings about a week before they open.

It rains kittens. (Which is really disturbing if you consider the practical implications of feline precipitation).

:) That and I'd like to get my new iPhone there, but not sure if the timing will be right. I won't be able to wait long since I'm putting my current one on ebay right now!
