Hey all,
I have a Mac Mini with two SSDs (same size) in RAID1. I had assumed if one were to fail, OS X would notify me, but otherwise continue to boot and function properly. I recently read that this isn't the case.
I remote into this Mac about 95% of the time, so if I will need to restore the array before OS X will boot, RAID1 isn't an option.
Can anybody speak to firsthand experience regarding what happens when a drive fails in a Mac RAID1 array?
