I know this might seem daft but is it ok just to close the macbook? Usually if I intend on using it again soon I put it to sleep then once the screen is off I close the lid, is there a reason why I should do this over just closing the lid?

Also, my macbook lasts for about 4 and a half hours when fully charged is that ok?

Sure, you can just close the lid. When you close it, the computer just goes into sleep mode the same way as if you manually slept it.

Also, 4.5 hours is pretty normal, I think. It depends which power setting you have it on and whether you are running the wireless the whole time.

thanks for the info.

Yeah I have my wireless on and usually am surfing the web for these five hours its onas well as runnig some other apps so I guess its all ok.

Cheers :)
