Hi,

I think this could be an interesting thread on what deals people have gotten on apple products.

I have never cared for spending so much on brand new machines because of how they depreciate so much so quickly, so used machines have satisfied my needs. And all of the ones that I have had have worked perfectly and looked great. People just take care of their apple machines, i guess!

Here are some of my best deals that I am proud of:
CURRENT MACHINES:
g5 dual 2.0
3gb Memory
2x 160gb Hard Drive
128 mb Video card
Airport Extreme
$800 (I bought it for $900, but sold my single 1.8 g5 for $1000 after taking out 2gb memory and 160gb Hard Drive).

Pismo g3 500mhz
1gb Memory
80gb 5400Hard Drive
7 hour total battery life
Airport Card
Like New Condition
$200 original, $350 after upgrades

Titanium G4 400mhz
1gb memory
60gb Hard Drive
4 hour battery life
Combo Drive
Airport Card
Like new condition, runs cool, and airport range is just as good as pismo. I think it is a mutant titanium! I actually love using this titanium one, it is so much better than any other titanium that i have had, and i had almost every revision. Swapped the hard drive with the pismo so it has the 80gb 5400 drive. Nice boost!!
$400

I've had several others during the past year, but eventually sold them and made some profit in doing so.
Let me know about yours!!

best deal evar: free PowerBook

2nd best deal evar: $500 G3 900MHz iBook. Muahaha! I love Pawn Shops in the rich part of town!!

3rd: $80 shuffle. It's all about open box, baybeeee!

4th: -$10 + edu discount = wireless keyboard and mouse for about $100 NEW. MUAHAHAHA!

5th: all that free love I get from the clerks (damn punks!), general genius bar fixing. Also, one of them is recording my senior recital.. if it's really for free, I think it trumps 2nd best deal evar. I dunno.

6th: 30 gig iPod Photo (eww. HP branded! I'll be covering that up) for 30% less. Go me! :)

7th: I got this really cute pair of shoes for $7.57!! YESSSS! (ok.. not apple related but... shut up!

...Moo-hahaha!-haha! Yesssssssss.....
I told my mom that I'm the "Alan GReenspan of Apple Products"
She and the guy checking us out at office depot (30% off photo) looked at me with such blank stares..

My 66 Hofner Beatle Bass for $99.00 NEW

My best deal ever, is the only one I've got which is my imac 17" 2ghz with 1gb upgrade for £880!

Best deal ever was on my first computer, a Mac SE. Won it in an Apple sales contest for selling a boat load of //gs's one xmas season.

My best deals ever would have to include my my first Mac (really my first computer) which was my Blueberry Clamshell iBook that I got for $20. I would also have to include my 400 MHz B&W G3 that ws given to me and the Power Mac G4 MDD in my sig that I got with an Apple 17" LCD for $700.

Well I can think of recent good deals:

Dell 24" purchased at 1260$ canadian, 1 week later drops 315$ canadian$ so I cancelled my initial order and reordered at the sale price!(that was yesterday)

I also got an Acomdata usb 2 firewire 160gig hard drive to match my powerbook. Got it 99$ CND and guess what when I opened it it also had firewire!! woohoo!
