I thought of this thread idea last night, while watching a movie on my Powerbook. I lifted it up in the dark; lo and behold I espied a green glow from the bottom. It turns out that the battery on the bottom has LEDs that light up while charging, not just the ring around the adaptor!

I'm sure this isn't earth-shaking news to anyone, but I was genuinely surprised. You can also push the button next to the LEDs to get a measure of the battery charge. I've never used this, since I just check the indicator in the menu bar. But, handy I guess when it's closed up.

Anyways, what have you discovered about your Mac lately? I'm hoping to learn something else about the thing I spend more time in front of than just about any other.

Cheers!

I've discovered it's an expensive fracking paper weight.

Hahahahha,

iGary I was reading your thread about your computer woes earlier this morning!

yeah the light of battery indicator is pretty slick!

not much newly discovered about my computer as of recent.

There is a little dent in the front left corner...It makes me so sad. And the latch isn't working right. And I never get to 100% full battery - always 99%...:( And, I still love it.
