What HDD in your late 2012 iMac

Hi,

Since some people were complaining about the noisy HDD in the new Late 2012 iMac, was thinking of making a poll and see what is the usual HDD brand people will get with the late 2012 iMac.

Here is how to check the HDD Brand

Apple logo -> About this Mac -> More Info -> System Report -> Serial ATA

STXXXXXXX = Seagate
WDXXXXXX = Western Digital
HTSXXXXXX = Hitachi

Optional for SSD
SMXXXXXX = Samsung SSD
TSXXXXXX = Toshiba SSD

Is the WD drive in 27 inch a 5400 rpm or 7200 rpm drive?

You have the Seagate HDD and Samsung SSD.

I have the same in my 21.5, I have assumed Hitachi as it is obviously not Seagate or western
