So i have a 15" MBP(unibody) and I want to get a 40+ inch display to play games on. I am not familiar with all the variations in these flat screen TV's. Plasma or LCD, 60 or 120 hertz, contrast ratios, etc...

I did try and hook up my MBP to a friends LCD through HDMI and there was a lag time with any key or mouse movement. This lag time would really decrease a gaming experience to a point where it is un-usable.

So basically im asking what are the important things i should look for when trying to play games on a large flat screen display. Thanks

I dont think a plasma is such a good idea with a computer, but the new types may be different?

Anyway I have a 42inch LG 5020 which I have had hooked up and had no problems

I believe it is now outdated as it is 8 months old?
