What? HUH??? SPEAK UP!!!

My fiance bought a new iPhone 5 at the AT&T store yesterday. But when she calls out, her voice is very low. I had my volume on my phone all the way up and had trouble hearing her.

I am not an iPhone user, so I am not sure of the phone call intricacies of these. Any suggestions on what to look for? We do not currently live close to each other.

One possibility is that she may have a finger or part of her hand over the microphone. It is on the bottom edge of the iPhone 5 and I've been known to block mine on my iPhone 4.

Thanks, Fox. That did occur to me, and I will ask to be sure, but I am not thinking it is likely that.
