since so many threads about this get bogged down with "nothing fxed the phone sux0rs" I thought it may help to point out:
After my update this now works flawlessly:
Btw - I purposely used the phone instead of my laptop to do all my surfi g for about 1.5 hours after I stalli g the update.
-accelerometer
Before update would work fine with phones native photo app but nearly never in safari. Now works ALL THE TIME in safari.
-keyboard lag:
Gone unless a page is in the process of rendering or actually downloading. In other words, if you can see a blue bar there is lag.
-contact lists load and are usable:
I can immediately search using the search field and can scroll about in the app, no delay At all.
-SMS app launches immediately, no keyboard lag
Says it all, doesn't it?
-iPod so far doesn't skip when multitasking:
I had the iPod skip while using mobile fotos but no skips so far.
-Gps and maps:
They load faster and there is. I lag in getting aron d search fields and no keyboard lag.
WHAT WAS NOT FIXED
-Camera startup time:
Still takes 3-5 seconds to go from launching app to being usable
-Jumpy text in safari:
One of my pet peeved and should be so easy to fix.
Hope this list helps someone.
And no this is not placebo effect. I also had these issues in 2.01 after total restore of the phone AND after hard and soft phone restarts.
In short the phone is usable as an all around Internet device which I am so thankful for.
