What id like from the new iphone.

A stylus,
A character counter in the text screen.
An improved sim insert (think the one at the moment is a bit fragile)
form and password memory in the web browser.
Longer Battery life.
Date on the main home page.
Draft folder in the text part.
A flash player (the apps will then be endless)
To be able to sync the iphone to itunes and play from the phone.
Video Capability
Flash on the camera.
Headphone Socket underneath (stupid place at the moment)
picture editor.
Background running.


What about everyone else ? what would you most like to see added ?

A stylus is going backwards.
A character counter seems silly but understandable for those not using smartphones.
Sim insert? How many times do you really take that sim out? (me, twice in the time I've owned two iPhones).
Longer battery life ... amen.
Date would be nice but I generally remember the date.
flash ... not going to happen I don't think.
I don't understand your syncing wishes. I sync my iPhone to iTunes just fine.
Video is nice but I couldn't care less about video chat on an iPhone.
Flash would be great.
NOOOOO I don't want the headphone socket underneath. I don't understand why people want this.
Picture editor, for 99 cents I bought one. I edit my photos at home.
Background running apps, don't we all?

Password memory is coming in 3.0. Stylus? Ew. But you can buy them if you want them. The iPhone display is not pressure sensitive, its touch sensitive so it requires a special stylus but you can get them. Google, my friend. Picture editing is easily done via 3rd party apps (don't want to put them developers out of business do ya?).

Text drafts would ruin the continuity of the SMS app, but I draft by typing a text just not sending it. The headphones are in a good place IMO, because I have my phone facing up and not down when using headphones. Adobe Flash would be neat. Camera flash? Not so much. And backgrounding is available via jailbreak.

Well, when ive let my parents have a go on the iphone , they seem to find the keypad hard to use. Im not saying attatched to the machine, but it would be nice if it came with one.

I guess the draft folder could be avoided with copy and paste, using the notes function


by syncing, - i use an imac as part of a recording studio, - if i plug my ipod touch in (i can stream off the ipod touch and play what ever music is on that device) - however with the iphone , the iphone music listing comes up , but is greyed out, so live streaming cannot be achieved.

i just think the headphones is dodgy, if you're outside and it suddenly starts to rain - then theres a danger of water damage.

- ive suggested before it would be good to place the headphone socket on the bottom, if the headphone jack is inserted. the screen flips to opposite ends (this way the wire wont be curling at the bottom of a pocket.

Not really.

A stylus would solve two problems: -

1. You could wear gloves in the winter.
2. Screen won't smudge.

If a stylus was included you would of course have the option not to use it
