Would you be angry that Apple forced all of us to have a useless Apple Watch for an entire x.1 version? Answer the poll and respond below.

I'd say well played apple for making people who don't read apple related news aware of the watch.

If you are referring to the apple watch app in 8.2, then I'd say the reason it came in 8.2 instead of 8.3 was to have it on as many iPhones as possible, so on release day most people are ready. It's not useless, its about making launch as smooth as possible.

I don't get this, why would even one person be angry? What would make the Apple Watch worthless if we got an upgrade to the OS? What are you talking about?

No more angry than wasting my time reading this pointless thread.

Actually I hope 8.3 drops sooner rather than later. It looks like the next jailbreak release won't be out until 8.3 comes out. The sooner 8.3 is released, the sooner I can get a jailbreak.

Give 8.3 2 weeks after the watch arrives and a million people are using it. You just never know what little thing might show up in software. I would hate to do a 8.3 the day the watch arrives and then 8.4 a few days later.

They were brilliant doing the base update for the watch for 8.2. They got an advertisement on every phone and it probably makes the review watches work much better. I am happy to know I can already get my picture favorites folder ready and waiting to sync to the watch beforehand. I already HAVE a favorites folder on my phone where I put the pictures I show off the most but now I will add more.

Seems like you don't understand how the OS works.

Apple watch is 8.2 compatible and will be 8.3 compatible. I'm afraid nobody has a clue what you're talking about

I don't understand what releasing iOS 8.3 has to do with the :apple:Watch or getting angry

Isn't 8.3 rumored to be the Beats/iTunes update?

Nope, not at all. In fact, another way to look at it, launching on 8.2 first was smart. That way, it can give Apple more time to test the companion app so there are no issues. If there are, Apple can patch them in 8.3.

So in that regard, it should launch before Apple watch goes on sale.

I think that's 8.4 as it stands right now. But of course, flexible schedule and all that.

Angry? What?! I don't understand, am I missing something?

I'm assuming some people wouldn't appreciate a software update before AW launch or on AW launch day as Apple may tell you to even upgrade to iOS 8.3 even though there's support for it in 8.2 (doubt it though)

We'll have to wait and see I guess.

I think the OP, like others here, are upset that we have the Apple Watch Companion app, and either 1) its useless until the Watch is on sale or 2) have no interest in the Watch. As such, they label it bloatware.

So what difference would it make if 8.3 was released before the Watch?
