I'm thinking of getting a used iMac to do some editing at home on. I want one that can handle FCP editing and some After Effects stuff. I can't afford much more than $650 for one. Are there any good ones out there with good specs that will handle the load I need?

Also, what are the minimum specs I should have when purchasing one for these needs?

Thanks!

We won't know what "load" you'll be putting on it until you tell us what video format(s) you'll be working with. Some have very demanding data rates.

HD video. Mostly 720p though. Some shot at 60fps.
